Meet Sam

A Little Backstory

It took me sixteen years, one candle company, and a whole industry reinventing itself to end up exactly where I belong.

I tried to break into travel back in 2008. I was told the industry didn't have room for someone like me. People saw travel planning as a dying industry as online booking engines tricked us all into thinking we needed to do everything oureslves.

So I walked away — and did what any reasonable person would do: started a candle company. I built and ran it for twelve years, then sold it, which taught me everything about running a business, taking care of customers, and sweating details other people don't notice.

When I started thinking about what came next, the answer was staring at me. Travel isn't just something I do, but it's kind of my whole personality. Ask anyone who knows me. And the industry I'd walked away from all those years ago had transformed. People are once again seeking the expertise of professionals to do the heavy lifting when it comes to travel planning.

I reached my agency's top production tier faster than almost anyone, which confirmed what I'd suspected since 2008: this is what I was made to do.

What I consider my super power: getting to know my clients. I ask the questions other planners don't think to ask. Some will seem random until you see how much better your trip is because of them. I believe that this job isn't about destinations, it's about people. Once we've traveled together, I know which room you want, how you like to sightsee, and what your version of a perfect day looks like. By trip two, you won't even have to ask.

My Why

My clients don't come back because a resort had a great pool, they come back because the trip was easy and because I was already handling it when something needed to change. The goal is simple: you tell me once how you like to travel, and I take it from there.

I started this business because I got tired of watching people spend their limited vacation days untangling logistics instead of actually being on vacation. Twelve years of running my own business taught me how to solve problems before they become your problem, and that's what I bring to travel planning, not just a list of nice hotels.
